Finis Technique Partnering Techniques

Home > Dance Lessons Instructional DVD Video

D001 Ballet Class Lessons DVD - Finis Jhung is a world renowned Ballet Master. Learn the ropes, step by step, to everyone's favorite, the Grand Pas de Deux from The Nutcracker. Griff Braun and Johanna Snyder of The American Ballet Theatre begin the video by performing the pas de deux. After that, they break it all down with Finis Jhung and tell you everything you need to know about promenades, supported pirouettes, and lifts. Griff and Johanna tell what they are thinking as they do the steps and what they expect from each other. By the end of the video you'll have seen all the nuts and bolts of partnering. Griff has partnered some of ABT's best ballerinas, so he knows what he's talking about. This video is a must for anyone who intends to do this pas de deux or simply loves ballet. This video on Partnering is one of the most informative I have ever seen. I enjoyed the detailed explanations. It will be a great teaching aid for beginning partnering classes.
